This And That Thursday, September 10, 2009

Quote of the Day (My quote):

"Midwesterners know that our weather has more tricks than a gifted magician."

This morning the fog is thick and the dew has settled on the lawn. It's a cool 63 degrees here in Greenview at 8 am, with the temperatures expected to rise to low 80's.

Thank You For Commenting

It appears some of you like this new blog. Thank you for the positive comments. I will try to put on as many posts as possible through the week. Some you can use as a chat blog post if you want. Ask questions and hopefully someone will answer them on that post, but if not, I will attempt to answer them on the next post.

Blogger has been having some problems and due to that, yesterday was really trying, as my post came up garbled and not as I drafted it....plus the auto-save wasn't working so it wouldn't save the text on my first draft, so I had to retype the whole thing. Geeze! Let's hope today is better.

Beautiful Home For Sale

For those of you who remember our long ago town veterinarian Doc Beard ... his home is now for sale. It is known as the Doc Beard/Ewers home, across from the high school. A lovely home and well kept.

Greenview Made the Springfield Paper

A few weeks ago, Greenview was highlighted on the front page of the Springfield Journal-Register. It really was a nice article. To compliment that front page article, there was a separate interent article which had different content. Here is that site if you didn't get to reference that internet article.

Yes the fire siren still rings at noon. And, also when a tornado has been spotted. Our firemen do a wonderful job!
