You Need To Do Something This Year!

Everyone needs to do something to prevent brain rot.

What do you do in your spare time?  Do you play video games....those will rot your brain.  Do you only sit in front of the computer going from one site to another...... not only will that make your butt big it will also rot your brain as you are really doing nothing other than reading someone's else's thoughts.

Do you build model cars.....that could fry your brain if you breathe too many glue fumes.  Do you mountain climb......that will kill you if you fall or if you get scared and let go.  Do you cook a lot of foods using butter and cream....that will close up your arteries and make you have heart disease.

Do you have so much money all you do is act like old Uncle Scrooge and count it everyday.....well bring some over here and I'll help you count it while you take a nap (tee hee).

Wow am I the pessimist or what?

Do you have any plans of action for the new year?  Looking up "plan of action" in Webster's is a plan.  You don't have to do a really bold thing but being bold when you do something makes for a really exciting result.  But if you sit back and just let sh*t happen, it ain't going to be exactly what you want to do and you probably won't be happy with the result....so get off your duff and plan!

Each of us has a creative side....and now is the time to use it.  Be creative......be extraordinary.....be thoughtful.....be something other than what you were last year.  But by all means....do something!

Did you ever go to Las Vegas and go to the Stardust?  I think everyone who went to Las Vegas probably went to the Stardust!!  It was remodeled over the years as all of them were, and didn't look much like the one in this picture postcard taken not many years after it was built in 1958.  It was imploded in 2007 to make room for another casino, Echelon,  and that casino has not yet been built.

Here's another Las Vegas casino which no longer exists.  I was staying there around 1995 on a business trip with my staff.   During our off hours we were sitting around the pool....we looked up and there comes Joan Rivers with her small dog.  She sat down next to us and started talking to our group.  She was appearing at the Desert Inn....we talked to her for a couple of hours and she ended up giving us front row tickets to her show!!  I never really liked her on the Celebrity Apprentice but her show was funny.....and it was free.

Wholesome......that means we are sound in body and mind and of simple vigor and health.

For years I thought that Holsum bread was spelled the same as wholesome.  Boy did I love that Holsum bread...it was so tasty and was always soft.  But I don't see it around here these days unless they run under a different label.  As kids, we made Holsum bread sandwiches out of just about anything...but there was nothing like a potato chip sandwich made with a fresh soft piece of Holsum bread.  Of course we also like butter with sugar sandwiches, mayo sandwiches, ketchup sandwiches and just bread only sandwiches.....no wonder some of us have heart problems....that fresh butter and mayo will get you every time.

As I go along in life, I still like really fresh bread....but, now it's whole grain or whole wheat to keep the stuff (you know what I mean) running through the old system.....fiber and juice will do it most of the time, with a  little Miralax thrown in......OMG how I hate getting old....I never thought I would have to use that junk but ...... here I am, old and using whatever I can to get it going.....dang!  Off to use the bathroom!
