Websites Which Look Like A Four Year Old Put It Together

I hate websites done by Amateurs.

Websites represent the item which the website is promoting.  When the site looks crappy, the viewers would get the impression that the particular subject of the website is crappy too.

Lately I've seen a few really crappy looking websites.  Wonder why in the world anyone would even publish something so amateurish.  It's degrading in my opinion....but what do I know.....I'm just the reader.

Oh well....I think you must consider the source .....  if the website is that way can you imagine the person's reliability who made the website.  Oh well....maybe there is a website school all website owners should go to to get some book learning.  It would probably help assure that the content would at least look presentable.  Just my opinion of course.

Here's to cleaning up horrible looking websites.  Some sure need it.

Old Stuff

Remember the ice storm of 1978?  It was on March 24-25.  The ice was from half inch to over 2 inches in some places and resulted in damaged power lines and power outages in many central Illinois areas.  Some power outages were up to two weeks long.  Easter fell on March 26 of that year.....I think the Easter bunny might have had to slip and slide delivering the Easter baskets that year rather than his normal hopping down the bunny trail.

Remember when cars came from the factory without seat belts?

Remember when gas was a quarter a gallon?  Then a little later it was about $5.00 to fill your car....then it went to a dollar a gallon.....and then two dollars a gallon....then three dollars a gallon....and now it's almost four dollars a gallon.  It's to the point a person can't afford to go anywhere due to the cost of the gas.  What ever happened to the old jingle "See the USA in a Chevrolet".

Remember Dale Evans and Roy Rogers and Trigger and of course Buttermilk too?  I loved to hear those two sing Happy Trails to You....until we meet again.

Remember when you didn't have to worry about being so politically correct?  And when you didn't have to worry about being sued for just the smallest thing?

The world changed but we still have our memories....and no one can take those from us.

Mother Nature sure is telling us something with this strange weather we've had this year.  During the last months she's given us mild weather with temperatures which were more like spring.

On Sunday night of this week she decided that she had made a mistake and we really should have had winter so she made it snow ...  it snowed about 2.5 inches here.  Then yesterday Mother Nature must have realized she made a mistake so she made it pretty warm and the snow melted.  The forecast for today is that the temperature will be around 65 degrees and windy as heck.  We'll all think we're in the windy city of Chicago instead of central Illinois.

Wonder what Mother Nature will cook up next for us?  Hopefully the possible thunderstorms for tomorrow won't develop into a Tornado.  That would just be the crowning glory --NOT-- !!

As we all sit here in Central Illinois wondering what's next, I am going to thoroughly enjoy the sunshine of today and the warm temperatures up around 65......I might even get out the lawn chair and sit in the sun and get a tan.....lordy.....can you get a sunburn in the winter???

Thanks for coming to my blog.

that my friend is depressing. Wages have gone up since 1950 but lately wages have been flat for some....yet the prices of most things have gone up. Will the increase in the price of gas stop ..... NO and there's not a dang thing we can do about it.....boo hiss

To calculate what a dollar in 19-- is equal to in 2012 dollars you multiply the $$ by the 2012 CPI and then divide by the CPI for that particular year. The CPI in 1950 was 24.1 The CPI for 2012 is 232.1
